Question Unfair evaluation and now dismisal?

What is the name of your state? florida
I received an unfair eval, going from exceeds to needs improvment. Now six months later after the needs improvement eval, I am on maternity leave and is being called to come in so they can fire me. Can they do that? What recourse do I have?

You can be terminated in spite of being pregnant, just not because of it. If your employer has legitimately determined your performance to be unsatisfactory, they can discharge you.

Being pregnant or on maternity leave provides you no special protections unless you are being discriminated against BECAUSE of your pregnancy or leave.
