What is the name of your state? New Hampshire.

Can I be fired for publicly expressing an opinion that is negative

"Can I be fired for publicly expressing an opinion that is negative
of a particular company policy?" Yes.

"Am I protected under the First Amendment in the workplace?" No. The first amendment protects your right to criticize the government, not your employer.
