I work for a company that has the policy of 240 hours of accrued paid leave max, if you have more you must use the extra time before the end of the year or lose it. I am quitting and have 360 hours of accrued leave, but the company wants to only pay me 240 hours, even though it is not the end of the year yet. Do I have any right to the extra hours? Please help. Thanks.

Excess accrued hours

I do not think you have any right to the extra hours if their policy is 240 max. You could have taken the hours off before you quit, but by quitting, you end your year and therefore, lose the extra hours.
