At my place of employment, you get all vacation hours up front at the beginning of the year, but accrue throughout the year. So, if you use all your time up and quit in July, you would owe the employer for the remaining time that would have accrued the last 6 mos. of the year.

My question is: If you are laid off (not fired), are you still liable for the hours you used but did not accrue yet?
