a place made me a verbal offer for employment and indicated that a contract would arrive within 2 weeks. I agreed with the verbal offer and through emails, but obviously want to see the lenghty written contract before signing as certain details such as final salary etc.. were left out. It has been nearly 4 weeks but I have not received anything and attempts to contact them have only indicated that it will come soon. How long do i have to wait and do i have an implied contract even though i do not know the final terms?

and you do not have an implied contract. You have nothing until a written contract arrives and you sign it.
