What is the name of your state? California, Orange County

I requested that my final check be sent down to the reception desk in order for me to pick up on the 10th of this May at 8:00 am. I quit my job on April 30th 2004.

I was told by the controller at the school I worked for that I need to see my supervisor before she , the controller, can release my check to me.

I was told that they can not hold my check, and by CA regs need to give it to me within 3 days after my quit date.

What if I go in Monday, the 10th of May, the day I requested my final check be available to me and they insist that I speak to my supervisor; what can I do at that point?

I'd like to know right away please.

Thank You,

-Ms. Lindsay

Contact CA's Labor Board and file a complaint. They have to give you your final check within 3 days of your last day of work.
