About 5 months ago I was taken to an office with a lawyer, a witness and the Human Resources incharge person and I was told that a will be fired becuase some issues of conversation between I and a female which included graphic description of sexual nature by her and by me. Also the viewing of pornographic material by me in the job computer. Instead of them fired me, I quit that day afective immediately. I know it was my fault, but now I'm trying to re-do my life and move forward and I don't know how this will affect me. There' are a few Federal jobs I want to apply to but the Federal Government requires a form called Declaration for Federal Employment, which ask on question number 12 if "during the past 5 years.....did you quit after being told that you would be fired.....". What would the Federal Governent would do on an application for a Federal Job? Would they decline hireng me for that situation? I do not like to lie, and don't want to lie to the Federal Government. Any Advise or previous experience would be very helpfull.

I don't see how anyone can predict how any employer would react to your prior situation and the reason you were terminated. As to a position with the federal government, I expect much depends on the type of position for which you're applying.

Your best option is to tell the truth and if contacted for an interview and asked about the circumstances of your separation, explain that you made a horrible error in judgment and have learned your lesson the hard way.
