What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Nevada

Had a written agreement/contract with employer with some conditions on both sides, when the time came they did not live up to the agreement and I was not given a promised position in fact 6 different opportunites I was bypassed. This was close to 2 yrs ago and I have been trying through my union for some resolution now employer says I recently did not abide by agreement and was terminated on the spot. I'm so confused on why they do not have to follow contract and I do. I'm now without pay or unemployment for 4 months is there something I can do about this? Thank you,
