wife WINS her employer thought she had a case!!!

In less than 24 hours after meeting with 2 HR Reps (One Regional and One VP Level) and the 3rd Line Mgr that fired her, my wife has her job back. In addition to that; the Corporate Management has reassured her that major changes will take place in the office where she will be working again. Hooray for the little guy. Also, this shows you that even those these sites are a great place to vent and hopefully get some positive feedback they are not always right since each case is different. So, if you believe you were wronged stand by your convictions and fight back.

Is this referencing the post where your wife got into a tussle with the manager and then she called him a dick on her way out the door?

No, your wife didn't have a "case." Apparently the employer decided this was simply the right thing to do given all the circumstances. That doesn't mean the employer was fearful of legal action.

This action doesn't mean that your wife had a "case", that even if she could have found an attorney to take it that the court wouldn't throw it out, and if gone to trial that she would have won.

The employer probably just determined that emotions got out of hand and they would give everyone a second chance. And that, if legal action were brought, that it would cost more to fight than it was worth. Hopefully, everyone involved has learned their applicable lessons here, including your wife. This result still does not make it appropriate to call your boss a dickhead. :p

The term, wrongful termination, has a specific meaning under the law. Your wife's situation did NOT meet that definition. No matter what happened after the fact, she was not "wrongfully terminated".
