I am in West Virginia as an "at will" employee, but there is also a company policy book stating responsibilities, termination procedures, chains of command, etc. Just how much of the employee handbook is worth the paper it is written on?

I don't understand the question.

If you are asking whether or not the fact that there is an employee handbook negates the at-will, the answer is that the mere existance of a handbook does not. The exact wording of the at-will statement and any disclaimers are what count.

But I have no idea what the existance of a policy about vacation, termination, etc. has to do with the at-will, or the value of the handbook?
