I know a pharmacists at that worked for a national chain drug store and he was fired because he refused to fill prescritptions for birth control pills. he contends that his religious beliefs prohibit the use of birth control. Does he have a claim against the drug store for wrongful discharge?

Not even close! To not fill the prescription because of his/her religious beliefs is not a reasonable accomodation at all and he/she is not performing the essential functions of the postion by refusing (i.e. filling prescriptions) Kinda picked the wrong profession ya think.
