What is the name of your state? - california

Please forgive me if I seem ignorant**************....I have never been terminated EVER nevermind the circumstances surrounding it. I worked for a company - was only there for 2 years**************ended up - due to MY drive and want to succeed - handling most of the large accounts as an in house rep. Most clients believed I was there sales rep - but I was only an in house assistant. Ever since I was hired, I have had to "fight" my way**************discrimination due to my gender, backstabbing by other female employees because I was younger, worked harder (because I took pride in what I did and what I had accomplished being a single mother in a "man's" workplace) and strived to get something without using my gender as a "tool", etc. I had to listen to remarks about being "the set of t*ts from the south who thinks she knows something" or "gee, who is she sleeping with?" or my favorite - "brown-nose". This I had to hear from both male and female**************...

Anyway, as the company was taking a financial dive and people were being laid off - my wages were reduced due to "a change in the labor law regarding salary and commision" and was given a cut in pay and changed to hourly employment. This saved the company roughly $1200 per month just in paying me.....nevermind others. I was privy to and/or overheard financial wrongdoings**************.and had to sit and watch while our 'mananger' fired anyone who became a threat to HIS job and position - and it was always a personal thing with him, not any actual threat from the employees he fired. Needless to say, my head hit the chopping block**************...I was accused of revealing company information and enciting employees to leave - all of which it NOT true. I was immediately terminated and escorted from the premises.....the actual termination took about 3 minutes. I could go on and on with this story but my question is**************.being innocent and able to actually produce others, does this case seem eligible for a class action? I dont know how many ppl you need to have, etc. I am now currently looking for work and hoping that I get my unemployment so I can take care of my child**************..

Any info or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

You're kidding right? There is nothing in your post to remotely suggest that anything illegal took place, in fact I believe you left some facts out, i.e. when you were accused of enticing employees and revealing company information-there is more to this story than you are revealing. The company believed you were the one and thats all they need is what they believe to be the truth. Bottom line is your employer can terminate your employement for any reason as long as it doesn't violate the law - Title VII for race, religion, age, gender, national origin, etc....

being innocent and able to actually produce others, does this case seem eligible for a class action? What case? It wasn't unlawful for the manager to lay you and others off because he felt threatened (or so you believe) by how talented you are. Same goes for being incorrectly accused of revealing company secrets and inciting employees to leave.

And what's with all the ************ ??

No, I am not kidding. That is why I asked and yes I did leave out many details-they do not actually believe I did that, that is what they are accusing me of-I am the scapegoat - an answer/reason for the financial situation they have gotten themselves into. There have been many discriminatory acts against myself and others as well as numerous labor and OSHA violations that are merely overlooked or dismissed because they KNOW that no one has enough nerve to actually confront them or any officials regarding these matters. I am not looking for money, I am just sick and tired of what they are doing and have done to people there in the past and what they will do. I could care less regarding any money. Should I just report them for the hazardous working conditions - safety sheilds missing or safety buttons disconnected on machinery? They don't pay ppl what they should, take money out of their checks for insurance etc, and then dont actually pay for it for months until an employee complains because THEY received a call regarding non payment. How about them just flat out not paying employees??
For you to actually start out your answer as "you're kidding, right" is not a very nice start. I dont know much about the law and that is why I posted to this forum - not to be made to feel stupid.

And regarding the ******, that is a font issue - so sorry.

My answer still stands as your post doesn't give any information to make a determination otherwise.

The hell it wasn't, you make a post with little or no information to go on and make the statement "does this case seem eligible for a class action?" Are looking to be a lottery winner? You made yourself feel stupid, I didn't have anything to do with that. Unless you are willing to provide more details, then you have the answer. Because you don't like the answer, don't start attacking me or anyone else.

Wow, I was not attacking anyone and no, I am not looking to be a lottery winner - as I stated in my reply. I guess nevermind, I will just shut my mouth like everyone else has and let them continue to do what they are doing.

Thanks.
