Area of work is in environmental sales and never was given a sales goal to achieve. This is the first year with the company and brought in 225k in sales, again with no sales goals given. Recently, There was a 28% pay cut in salary. When told this was not enough, I asked what should be brought in and was told "they didn't know". Then they decided it wasn't enough and cut salary by 28%.
Two questions. Firstly, is the pay cut excessive under law and can the company be sued for back pay since they never gave goals. Secondly, if terminated, does this sound like an unlawful termination?
