Colorado: I had the stomic flu for 2 days and called in sick. Upon returning to work I was fired. My boss said that He wanted to make and example for the rest not to call in sick. Others have called in sick in the past without being fired.
Can you be fired for being sick?

There is no company policy posted. and I have only called in once before when my father had heart surgery
