What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? North Carolina

For awhile now complaints were filed with HR over the boss ladies attitude, today she found out and fired me, got everyone behind her and i was escorted from the building. What can I do legally.

And learn the lesson. Complaining about the boss' attitude over said boss' head can be a career-limiting move. (slapping forehead here)

If you think you've hit the wrongful termination lottery, you couldn't be further from the truth.

You would have been protected from retaliatory termination had you filed these complaints with government agencies such as the EEOC or the federal/state DOLs. Nothing in your post indicates that you filed your complaints with agencies such as these.

eerelations may be correct IF what was being reported was a violation of law or perhaps, public policy. However, the OP said the complaints were about "attitude".

To put this in perspective, my father has a saying...

If you go over your bosses head to complain, be prepared that one of you won't be there tomorrow. Therefore, if what you are bringing to your boss' boss attention won't get him/her fired, you should bring a box with you to work.

You jumped the chain of command... BECAUSE your boss didn't like you. Did you think this would HELP her attitude?
