What is the name of your state? Florida

Hi. My boyfriend had just worked a little over a month for a company. He was told to go into the office one day and told that he was being let go. His boss said "you seem to not be happy here so you may quitely leave today". He was terminated not because of a just cause. The termination causes are stated on his contract or offer letter, not one applies to him. As he reviewed his employment offer letter, it states that this position was for one year. It states his annual salary as well. From what I have been reading on the internet, he is no longer an employee at will but have a 1 year contract. Can he sue for breach of contract and be able to collect the remaining of his salary?

Thank you for your help.

He was terminated not because of a just cause. No laws require that an employer have just cause to terminate someone.

The termination causes are stated on his contract or offer letter, not one applies to him. There is a HUGE legal difference between an employment contract and an offer letter. Since no one here can know what exactly this document is, your BF is going to have to show the contract/letter to get an expert legal opinion.
