I live in Maryland, I have been working as a part time computer instructor since last March. When my full time job informed of a schedule change that would conflict with my part time job;I discussed it with my part-time supervisor telling her there was the possibility I would have to resign if I couldn't get my full time job to ajust my schedule; this was on a Monday. She asked me When would I know for sure; I told her by the following week. The
following Monday I called her and told her that I was able to change my hours on my day job and I wouldn't have to resign. I worked Monday, Tuesday, and when I reported to work on Thursday I was informed that I was being let go effective immediately. She told me that she considered my conversation with her my offical resignation and she had already hired another instructor to take over my class. Have my rights been violated in any way?
