Homeowners Ins. ClaimsWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? | Read your policy. Should be clear from that, insurance documents are written at an 8th grade reading level.

| You would have to pay your deductible so if your ded is 500, and the damage is 700. then no, it is stupid to put in the claim. depending on how much the damage is, what your deductible is, and the difference between the two, is how I would decide whether or not to put in the claim. |
