What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? FL

Thank you in advance for any insight.

We are dealing with a property insurance claim. The insurance company has already broken a few statutes, which were corrected when brought to their attention. However, I am now told that the insurance company has hired a lawyer, who will contact us "to answer our questions about the statutes". I made clear that we have not yet taken any legal action.

I am thinking that they want to use the lawyer to try to get us to say/do something which would discredit our claim?

Thanks again

I doubt that. It's much more likely that they got the lawyer involved to advise them so they don't break any more laws.
