IN regards to this law. If the adjuster had me sign a contract 12 hours after the fire, does that mean he violated the law. I signed the contract at 1pm on May 30th. THe fire was May 29th at 11pm.

If a Public Adjustor violates N.J.S.A. 17:22B-13, they are subject to fines and possible loss of license. To file a complaint against a public adjuster: Obtain the adjuster’s name or company name and any other details (from a business card if possible).
