Tree fell on neighbor's house

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Michigan

Monday we received several inches of snow and as a result a tree in my backyard fell on my neighbor's house. I was told by my insurance company (AAA) that this was an act of god and the I was not legally responsible for this and that they would not cover the claim. Am I legally responsible?

Your insurance company told you that you are not responsible. If you are sued over this matter, then it will be your insurance company's responsibility to defend you in court.

Unless your neighbor can show that the tree was a known danger due to disease or prior damage, then it sound like your ins company is correct - acto f god, not your responsibilty.

Not your responsibility. There policy will pay for there damages. (less the deductable) and they have no legal ground to sue you, it was an act of nature ( which is my prefered statement, as opposed to god.)

Just curious. Is spelling a required course for a law student?

As long as the tree was healthy and you had no reason to believe it would fall then it is the other homeowners responsibility. If you want to be a nice guy, offer to split or pay the deductible.
