What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Colorado

We had water damage on 2nd floor. Insurance company is replacing carpet on entire floor and stairs except in the bedroom where the water stopped outside the doorway. They sent a field adjuster out and he said it is common practice that insurance company will not pay to replace that room because there is a doorway and door. My argument is that we cannot match carpet color and styles and these mismatched carpet will be seamed together. I feel it will lower the value of my home having mismatched flooring seamed together which will be obvious. Does the insurance company have a responsibility to return my home to the condition it was in before the damage? Field adjuster has said no and there is nothing he can do about it. It is worth pursuing further?

I doubt it. Lots of people have different color and styles of carpeting in different rooms and have them seamed in the doorways. I doubt very much that carpeting has much to do with the valuation of a home. It doesn't last for the very long term.

You could always pay for the bedroom carpet yourself...;)

If I were in the market for a house, carpet would actually lower the value. I'm a hardwood flooring kind of guy.
