My son has done the paperwork for the GC and the interview has been scheduled in Delhi consultant.

I would like to postpone it for a year due to some personal reasons.

a. How do I postpone it
b. What are the "gotchas"
c. How do I make sure that my case does not get lost

If someone has experience with this, please post

Help is much appreciated.

I don't believe that it can be postponed for that long. It can be postponed for a few months, possibly but not a year. But he can go to the interview and if the visa is issued, then the visa will be valid for 6 months in which he will have to make an entry to the US.
