Can end date of EAD be changed once it has been filed?

Can the end date on the application of the EAD be changed by the DSO once it has been filed but not yet approved?

Possibly only if it's been issued for less than one year and you are entitled to the entire year. You'll still need the authorization from the school on the I-20 before it will be changed and it will have to be resubmitted as an extension on a new I-765. If, however, it was authorized for more than what you had indicated on the I-765, it's unlikely that the USCIS will correct it, since this was your mistake and not their error.
