Can an H1 or H4 visa join the military?

Hi there, I have an H1 visa that will expire in 2010 and so does my spouse's H4 visa. Does anyone know if we can still join the military with these types of visa? thanks!

her your thoughts about enlisting with your present visa status'.

I agree, you will have to speak with your recruiter, but I think you will find that you must be a Permanent Resident (Green Card) before you can enlist.
