You can apply for asylum if you are already admitted on the F-1.
It is a violation of your visa and could result in you being turned away at the border (or later) if you lie about immigrant intent to enter on a non-immigrant visa.

I'd talk to an immigration lawyer before making mistakes that can get you banned for a long time.
