What is the name of your state?
Out of the country
Case: USC husband for more than 2 years married to a Venezuelan wife will make a petition for her through the Embassy in Barbados where they are living for many years.
Could another forms be submitted simultaneously with that?
Like work permit or something else?
What is it convenient to do?
Please if anyone could inform i appreciate. i am beggining to get to know immigration issues.
Thanks,
Olga

No, just the petition for alien relative would be filed with the Embassy. Once it is approved, you'd go for the interview at the consulate and, if approved, you would be issued an immigrant visa to enter the US as a permanent resident. No additional applications for work permit would be required since permanent resident status gives you work authorization.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions or how I can be of further assistance to you in this matter.

Olga ,Good Luck with the US embassy In Barbados, i was born there, they deny people for no reason,i was denied 6 times when i applied for a B2 visa for no plain reason.lol, its so tough in Barbados, many of my family members had to changed their names to get visas, including me i changed my last name.and it sucks how you dont get refunds.

This is really misleading because being denied for B-2 visa is ABSOLUTELY different from applying for an immigrant visa as a spouse of a US citizen and one is not at all an indication of the chances of success for the other.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions or how I can be of further assistance to you in this matter.
