I'm a Chinese citizen and currently I'm using my OPT extension, which will expire on July 20th. My husband is a PhD student holding F1 visa. However, his F1 is going to expire on August 31st. I'm planning to change to F2 visa. Should I start the application now (ASAP) to hope that I can get it before August 31st or should I let him apply for OPT first and then change to F2?
