I have a friend that has a green card card that expired because he has been facing a lot of financial hardships and counldn't follow-up with the process of filing for the citizenship papers. Now what can he do to avoid deportation if his girlfriend got mad at him and tried to report him to the immigration because his green card expired in 2000. He came to this country in 1979,had a run in what the law on DUI, but nothing else.
