My partner and I are planning on getting married. I am currently on OPT (F-1 student). I am planning on filing for a work permit (I-765). My OPT expires August 2008. Will I be eligible to work under OPT while filing for adjustment of status (I-30, I-485)?

you can work on OPT.

You can work while your I-130 and I-485 are pending only if you also apply for an employment authorization document as part of that packet.
