Got me a 10 year deportation

What is the name of your state? California

I came to California to live there 3 months on my tourist visa (green paper you get on airplane), but things happened. For example I crashed the motorcycle I had at the time, things got really wrong and I ended up missing my flight back home. Not because of injury, but because of "i want to stay" and I also looked at the departure date wrong. I was a day late when I was contemplating to really go back and come back again (smartest thing). Anyhow, since I already had overstayed and I had settled pretty good living at friends I tried to find ways of turning into a legal resident. But time went by, I actually got a job at a friends place. It was a brief period of "trial" to see if I was good enough for the job. I was, and my boss at the time said he can start the process of making me legal.

But during that time, I had a girlfriend, dumped her, she got pissed and reported me to the INS. So the paperwork and legwork the lawyer had to do was never started.

Arrested outside of "work" one sunny summer day morning in July 2003. A week later I was on a flight home to Sweden. I didn't like the situation that i was in, so I signed anything to quickly get out of the prison I was staying in.

Now back in Sweden I've slowly come to live the life I had before my move to Cali, and every day I think about the fun I had and how I know living there would make me happier. Okay, it's not a cry-baby story but just the truth that it would be 'better' there.

I still have friends in Cali that I keep contact with that can offer me good jobs with higher ranking in the company. But I still have to rid my deportation. It's a 10 year one. Meaning I am not supposed to be able to come back until 2013.

Now, after you heard my dumb story. =/

Is there a legal way for me to return before my 10 year deportation is over?
I have no criminal records, I was a good boy except for making some really dumb and stupid (20-21year old) decisions.

thanks. Please don't hate. I know my wrong doings very well.

There is nothing you can do or prove. You can't come back.

In fact, you are so astonishingly correct in this matter, it will not surprise us one bit if you are offered a generous settlement, because, by golly, that’s just how it should be.

Sad to hear, can you possibly back it up with facts? It's not that I don't believe you. It's just that I've heard it before, and now again.. but without reference to which paragraph in the immigration laws. thanks

I guess I'll spend the money on a nice vacation in southern europe.

Well...

In my opinion, you just need to be patient and wait out the deportation. If you try to bypass it and get more denial stamps in your passport, you'll make it even harder for yourself. Just wait it out, 7 more years to go!
