My initial H1b began Nov. 2007. In 2011, I was laid off and stayed in US for 8 months as out of status. Then I found another employer for H1b, I reentered US with a new I-94. When the USCIS issued me the new H1b, the expire date changed to June 2014, which is 6 years + 8 months, does that mean my 'out of status' 8 months doesn't count toward 6 years?
