What is the name of your state? NJ

Hi,

I came from india last month ( on 15 th may) on deputation for a period of 45 days from an indian MNC, Since i was on deputation i dont have any US paystubs, instead i was paid travel advance in US dollars before starting from india and i was paid full indian salary every month starting from the first day of deputation. I recently applied for SSN and waiting for it by this week or next week. ( Since my indian company doesnt run payroll here, they didnt asked me to apply SSN)
Now i want to do an H1 transfer, kindly let me know whether it is possible to transfer H1b from my indian company .

All helps are appreciated

Rgds,

Kumar

No, you have to be employed in H-1B status in the US in order to be eligible for a transfer. Otherwise, it is consular processing.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions or how I can be of further assistance to you in this matter.

I was for the same employer ( my H1b petioner ) in indian payroll with the job location as india then i was deputed to US on 13th may for a short visit. for a short visit normally they wont change the payroll because after a month once again i am going back to india.

Possibly, you might be able to show that you are working in the US but it is not guaranteed. You might want to supplement that with a letter from the local manager/supervisor who could confirm that you have been working locally in the US for the past month or so.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions or how I can be of further assistance to you in this matter.
