Question

h4 visa and legal separation

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Alabama

I am on H1B visa and my wife is on H4 (dependant)
is it possible for us to get legally separated so she can continue to stay on the H4 visa? in other words, would a legal sepration status force her to give up the H4 visa?

Since she is on H4 and cannot work, where would she obtain the funds needed to live in the US if you are legally separated?
