What is the name of your state?PA. I was born in germany to german parents. My mother met my father when he was serving in the military and marryied him. He adopted me and we all moved to the states in 1968. I have also served in the U.S. military for 4 years. I am trying to get a NEW DRIVERS LICENCE and am having trouble getting a new one because I lost my green card. I was given a temp green card but the D M V doesn't want to accept it saying that it has to be an actual green card. I think this is ridiculous as my temp green card shows that I am here legally. I don't have a passport because I was only 3 1/2 when I came over here so they put me on my mothers passport. She has since renewed her passport so I am not on it anymore. I was told that it would take anywhere from 1 to 1 1/2 years to get my new green card and the same amount of time to get a passport. What am I supposed to do? I have to be able to get to work. I can't believe I serverd 4 years in the military to get treated like this. I have never never been outside of the U.S. and don't even speak another language.I need my drivers licence.
