I arrived to the States as a Missionary on July,1999, to work with the Hispanic Comunity and my support comes from Mexico, but I need suplementary income and I'm not able to get a job unless I get a SS #. Upon arrival, I went to the SS office to apply, but they say that
"a relgious worker working for a non profit organization is not elegible for a SS # "
Is there any other way to get a SS #, so that I can be able to work for the extra income I need?
