What is the name of your state? California. My wife applied for greencard back in the end of May and she hasn't heard anything back from INS. She was here as a tourist and submitted change of status. It has been 4 months and checks she sent haven't been cashed either. Is this normal?? My laywer told me that there is a big backlog at INS due to the 9/11. Is it true??
