What is the name of your state?
PA
My husband is currently an enrolled student and he was to graduate this semester. He recently applied for OPT and the international office at school informed him that his I-20 expired 3 months ago. He was never informed to renew his I-20 before and somehow he could register to classes. Now, the school tells him not to graduate and they will apply to for re-instatement which is to take 3-4 months. Now that he is out of status, is he in danger of to be obligated to leave the country? Is there a shorter way to proceed for his new I-20? Thank you.
