I-360 Fee waiver!?

L.A. California
My I-360 was approved. Some one told me i can get a fee waiver but i have other people telling me that i shouldn't. That i should just pay the 1,010.00 Immigration is asking. If i ask for a fee waiver it may take longer for me to get my green card. That they leave you last because they give priority to the ones who pay. Is this true? What should i do? Should i try to apply for the fee waiver or just try to gather up the money and pay?
