I-360 mother was approved i was forgotten

My mother and I moved to the US and she married to a US citizen when I was 17 years old. Her rocky marriage ended by my stepfather committing suicide right before they received the notice to appear for their interview for the green card. Since then my mother had filed an I-360 for both her and myself under the Violence Against Women Act. She was granted her green card but not me, the reason the officer gave her was he didn’t have my file with hers, which was completely wrong since we had two A numbers listed, one for her and one for me.

I was advised to file my own I-360 form, which I did in June of 2009 referring back to my mother’s file which she filed in 2006. Now I have been put at the end of the line of all petitioners currently waiting. I find this completely unfair since I was listed on my mother’s form which USCIS just completely ignored. Is there anything I can do to expedite this process? I have been given misleading advise before where I've been told to just wait.

You may wish to consult with an attorney.
