I'm currently in the process of removing a conditional status on my green card. My 2-year green card expired on 11.3.2011. I do have a letter stating that my status have been extended for another year so i can work and travel.
I'm planning to travel to Russia in a month to visit my family. I did go the immigration office to get my passport stamped but i was told i don't need that.
I'm pretty sure I won't have problems entering US back having the expired green card and the extension letter with me. But what about leaving Russia? Will they let me out with only those 2 documents?

Thanks
