What is the name of your state? NJ but I need advice for NY

A friend of mine from Eastern Europe married a US citizen 6 months ago. 2 months into the marriage they began having major problems. She says that he doesn't love her anymore and may have never and now is trying to control every aspect of her life. She wants to annull the marriage but is afraid that she will not be able to stay in the states and the husband doesn't want to annull and says that he would report her to INS and get her deported. Not really sure what his motives are.
What options does she have? I really want to help her get out of this marriage and stay in the US. Please let me know if anyone has similiar experience or if you know an Immigration lawyer that could consult with her on her options? If a lawyer can help she would retain his services.
