What is the name of your state? Georgia

Hi all - I would greatly appreciate your help.

I recently filed my I-612 form for a J1 waiver based on exceptional hardship to my US citizen spouse and child. I sent all the docs to the local (Atlanta, Georgia) USCIS office. It's been a few weeks already, but my status on DOS web site still hasn't been updated. My questions are:

1. How long does it usually take for DOS to receive my application from a local USCIS office?

2. Should I expect some sort of receipt from either USCIS office or DOS?

Thank you.
