    Marriage to Tourist Visa Holder

What is the name of your state? Florida

I have met a person online who is planning to come visit on a tourist visa. It is quite possible that we could become close and get married. I am asking to find out what the laws are and procedures needed to take to accomplish this. I would appreciate any help.

I met my husband on the internet and visited him once then came back and married him but things didnt go quiet as expected. I knew i had 3 months to as a visitor then planned on obtaining a fiance K1 visa for another 3 months and getting married in this time but my former divorce hadnt finalised, then when it had we never had the spare money to pay for all the forms etc. I am now in the urgent need to get legal and need advice myself. But the answer i was told is yes you can get married and apply for visa whilst in this country i just wish mine would have worked out as we had planned.

i also met my husband via the internet , i would advise you not to overstay a tourist visa as i did , it ceates big problems .
make sure you play everything by the book she should apply for a fiance K1 visa to come over.
    good luck to you both

Yes, big problems indeed, my fiancee is from overseas and he's being detained in the US right now because his holiday visa expired and he never filed the right forms. So as it looks now, he's going to be sent back, but I also was sent back from there for the same thing. I warned him to do it correctly and fortunately I do have a lawyer doing all that he can for us, but it'll probably mean that he'll have to go back home for a while and file forms and I'll have to file some myself from here.

I let more than 180 days lapse on my expired i94 before we applied for change of status, our interview seem to go ok but a couple of months later a letter arrived from ins stating because of my overstay i was jubject to deportation back to the uk and had to fill out another form explaining what hardship would it create to my husband and myself if i was sent back,
luckly i am now approved and waiting for my greencard being processed.
