Question

Married to US Citizen

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York.
I have been married to my husband who was born and is a citizen of the US for 2 years and 8 months. He has always work and supported his family which consists of myself and my daughter. I had not sent in any documents as yet. I came to this country on a B1/B2 Visa in 2006 and now both my daughter(who has only been hear a year) and i are "living" here with my husband. My question is What are the information and the names of the forms we need to file? And would my daughter and I have any problems when this is complete?

Your husband will need to submit I-130 for each of you and you will both need to submit I-485, along with all the supporting documentation. You should not have any issues in adjustment of status to permanent residence as long as you entered the country lawfully.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions or how I can be of further assistance to you in this matter. I handle these types of petitions for clients nationwide on a daily basis.
