If someone is a legal permanent resident of the United States, then they are able to live and work in the United States.

Was that your question?

Ah. Well, how long have you been living in Tijuana?

Do you intend to live in the US?

When did you move?

Your wife may have already lost her green card status if she has been living outside the US for more than a year without getting advance permission from the USCIS to do so. A permanent resident of the US must reside in the US and must have intention to do so by having the proper supporting documentation; any extended absences from the US for six months or longer must be documented with a need to be abroad as well as evidence that the intention to reside within the US is still present.
