please help ...on h1b no project

What is the name of your state? Colorado
I am on H1B from last 6 months and i didnt get any project. I was thinking of filing h4 but now My i -485 is filed on my husband's company behalf. Do i need to file my h4 to be in status or filing i-485 makes me in status even if i dont work now.

No, you do not, once you have a pending I-485, that in itself gives you status (pending applicant for adjustment of status)
