| Rights for divorcing a fraud. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?Michigan
I wrote a couple of days ago regarding my friend.
She has been married almost 5 years. Her husband received his green card 5 mos. ago. He was restricted to enter the US for 3 years due to a violation, so that's why he just received it. She wants to divorce him because the marriage was under false pretenses on his part. He used her, and led her on to believe they were going to be married for the right reasons.
Her questions are: If she divorces him, is he still eligible for citizenship? Does she have any rights under the immigration laws? Is there a statute of limitations on his green card and status from the time he received it? If she was to report him as a fraud, what would happen? |
