Can a person (spouse) that has never filed a tax return be a valid sponsor for a person applying for a green card?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

To be a sponsor you have to submit proof of your qualifying income and/or assets. If you have never filed a tax return, it is not likely that you will be able to prove that you are a viable sponsor.
