hello ,

as me and my husband just planned for a short trip to swiss after i reach us in my cr-1 in early august 2007 ,

i was just as inquisitive to know whether i need a visa to swiss or the cr-1 visa will be sufficient for my travel or
will the indian passport be required for that ?

The visa is only for purposes of entering the US, not any other country. Once you land in the US in CR1 status, your passport will be stamped at the port of entry with your new status as permanent resident. Once you have that stamp, you will also receive the green card in the mail within about 3-5 weeks. YOu can travel internationally and return with the passport stamp but you still need to find out what the entry requirements to Switzerland are for Indian nationals who are also permanent residents of the US.
